Thallos

The only member of the project is Stanislav Rubyteno. Due to the musical education of my parents I began listening to the music when I was 3 years old. I began playing accordion and guitar when I was 12. But I didn’t feel myself a musician who could play live music. I was interesting in eliciting sounds from old gramophones, records and mikes. Special methods of sound elicit from the cassettes, stretching  tapes in order to obtain some sound effects, record (?)from the  player’s line-in with the following  RFI influence on its channel, records of street and basement sounds and aspiration for eliciting sounds from every thing possible stimulated my musical   world-view and gave birth to my love to ambient.

I was brought up on J.M.Jarre, Didier Morouani, Dr. Alban and finally  Phillip Glass. In 1998 I made my first steps toward composing my own music. In 2002 I recorded my first ambient album “Thallos - Evolution in the empire of calmness” on my own home studio Neoanthrop Records. It includes several remakes and my own compositions. Since 2004 music stopped to be just a hobby for me; it started to be the purpose of my life.  Music is full of nature, spirituality, melancholy and sometimes even tragedy and atmosphere. Every track respires some implication because each of them is a shot from the film called “My life”. Constant experiments with the sound led to the unique, pellucid sounding; it was able due to the absence of any compression. I work in Natural/Dark/Gothic ambient, Doom Metal, New Age, Instrumental, Hip-Hop, Trance, Dream/Progressive/Sequence House, Drum’n‘Bass.

Recently I made a decision to share the results of my work with persons holding the same views and those who are fond of emotional music. Perhaps, the only thing which gets in the way to the promotion of original music is the lack of understanding among so-called narrow-minded people.
