SKRM1 is the creative laboratory working in different vanguard styles such as trash-art and art-house. In the network of the studio the members of our group are experimenting with different expressive means, examining the combinations of video and sound.
We are shooting videos, reels, shorts; making “strange” animation and performing the activity which may seem strange to some of people.
Undoubtly, it differs from the usual way of spending one’s spare time getting drunk, touching up broads and then giving moral lessons. There is no doubt that all these things are worthy of an average representative of a modern society, its sell and consumer… and may be slaves?
In any case, each member of SKRM1 studio felt himself like a foreigner in this “normal” world. “Strange” people have gathered and organized …not a society but a union. We are not a herd, we are group of individuals with alike interests and world-views but this doesn’t make us identical.
It is nothing but natural that the results of the creation work of such people will be different from the results of the work of “normal” people. To draw a borderline between pseudo culture, stereotype set of “models of art” which have substituted the notion “culture” and creative search, experiment, expression and throes of constructive endeavours is our main aim.
